This new $250 annual fee for electric vehicle (EV) owners in New Jersey appears unjustified and counterproductive. Rather than discouraging the adoption of environmentally-friendly EVs, the state should be incentivizing their use to reduce emissions and combat climate change. Imposing exorbitant fees on EV drivers, who have already invested in costlier vehicles to support sustainability, seems misguided. While funding transportation infrastructure is important, this fee risks undermining New Jersey's commitment to promoting clean energy alternatives. I urge you to reconsider this policy and explore more equitable approaches that do not penalize citizens making eco-conscious choices.
