Stop security breaches- hold the responsible accountable!

To: Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman, Rep. Scanlon

From: A constituent in Wayne, PA

April 1

I’m writing to demand immediate congressional action following the dangerous and deeply irresponsible security breach involving senior officials in the Trump administration. According to The Atlantic, members of the administration’s national security team—including the National Security Advisor and Defense Secretary—used the unsecured messaging app Signal to discuss classified military operations. Even more shocking, these sensitive messages were mistakenly sent to a journalist, revealing details about potential airstrikes, weapons systems, and operational timelines. This breach of national security protocol is not a minor error—it is a failure of leadership, judgment, and respect for the lives of American service members and the safety of our allies. The use of unsecured communications to discuss military actions not only violates protocol but exposes the entire country to unnecessary risk. Congress must act. I urge you to: • Launch a full and transparent investigation into how this breach occurred • Demand accountability from those who mishandled classified information • Strengthen and enforce secure communication protocols across all branches of government This cannot be allowed to fade from the headlines without real consequences. The American people deserve leaders who treat national security with the gravity it requires. Please do your part to restore integrity and safety to our federal leadership. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to seeing action—not silence.
