I demand you to stand up to President Trump, Vance, and Musk as they destroy our relationships with allies that we’ve had for decades and stop funding Ukraine’s war against Russia. America has lost its position on the world stage, and moreover, it is clear that it is for the benefit of Putin. Stopping our cybersecurity from investigating Russia is extremely dangerous for our national security and lies out for all where Trump’s priorities are. Trump and co.’s actions have been utterly disgusting, disgraceful, and make me embarrassed to be an American. If you truly believe in the importance of the Constitution you were sworn in on, and truly champion freedom and democracy as you claim to, now is the time to act before Russia has even more influence in our government. You know as well as I do that Trump and co. have caused irreparable damage to the trust and relationships we built with allies who also value democracy and freedom. It will take decades for America to rebuild those relationships, when we attain another leader who attempts to. It’s clear Trump and co. seek only power and enrichment for themselves, and plan to gain them by exploiting all Americans who do not have tremendous wealth. They do not value democracy or freedom. They have destroyed and/or taken control of our government institutions, ones that help people, protect Americans’ health, advance science, and more, whose employees have worked hard and in good faith to make American better. America will be much worse off and fall behind countries that value their citizens’ quality of life, health, and freedoms. Ones that seek improvement of citizens’ lives through technology and science, and ensure protection for them. You don’t want to end up in a weakened country at the mercy of people as soulless and unstable as Trump and Musk, who have Russia behind them. If you are an honorable American, who truly believes in freedom, who values the trust and opinion of the constituents who voted you in, you should resist now, and fervently. Don’t bring any more shame to this country.
