I am disgusted by Governor Newsom’s comments on his podcast. It is gross enough to entertain Charlie Kirk as a guest - the man is against all of the values the vast majority of Californians hold dear. But in particular, Governor Newsom’s own comments about transgender girls and women competing in women’s sports to be “deeply unfair” is abhorrent. Trans women are women. Trans girls are girls. The Democrat’s stance on trans people being people and as such being deserving of rights and safety is not what caused them to lose this election, and you know it. Do not make the trans community the scapegoat for the failures of the Dems to appeal to their base. It is embarrassing to watch the leader of one of the most liberal states in the nation, one who has vowed to protect even the most vulnerable communities, make nice with someone who is a known enemy to those same communities and to make comments like this. Shame on you, Governor Newsom.
