The recent leak of classified military information to an Atlantic journalist is deeply concerning, not just because of the security risks it poses, but because of the apparent lack of accountability for those responsible. Mishandling sensitive national security matters should never be brushed off as an “oopsie,” especially when it puts service members and our country at risk.
This is not the first time national security has been jeopardized under this administration. We’ve already seen critical missteps, from Elon Musk’s with the accidental firing of nuclear staffers.
Meanwhile, we are actively engaged with aggressors like Russia and appear increasingly hostile toward our own allies. This is a dangerous trend that weakens our standing in the world and emboldens those who wish us harm.
At the same time, this administration is calling for the impeachment of a judge for following well-established legal precedent.
This double standard raises serious questions about the priorities and integrity of those in power. If accountability is truly a principle worth upholding, then it must be applied consistently, not selectively.
How do you plan to ensure those responsible for this dangerous leak face real consequences? How will you push back against efforts to undermine the judiciary?
This is about national security and the rule of law. I urge you to take action.
