U.S. foreign assistance isn't abstract policy—it has real, life-and-death consequences that affect people today, even as I send this letter to you. As food distributions cease, people are going hungry. Without treatment for acute malnutrition, children will die. Entire communities are without shelter and clean water. Mothers and their young children are losing access to critical health care. Religious minorities, including Christian youth, are at increased risk of being radicalized. Inaction will lead to unimaginable suffering and loss on a global scale. The lives of our sisters and brothers hang in the balance. Please urge the administration to halt and reverse all terminations of active foreign assistance programs that target the most vulnerable and immediately resume the disbursement of Congressionally appropriated foreign assistance funds. Thank you for your time and leadership.
