I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to protect and strengthen Social Security, a vital program that millions of Americans, including retirees, people with disabilities, and surviving family members, rely on for financial security.
For decades, Social Security has served as a lifeline, ensuring that hardworking Americans can retire with dignity. However, with ongoing discussions about potential cuts and the long-term solvency of the program, I am deeply concerned that without strong leadership, future generations may not receive the benefits they have earned.
As your constituent, I strongly oppose any efforts to cut Social Security benefits or raise the retirement age. Instead, I encourage you to consider solutions that will expand and strengthen the program, such as adjusting payroll tax caps so that the wealthiest Americans contribute their fair share.
I urge you to stand up for the millions of Americans who depend on Social Security and work toward bipartisan solutions that protect its future. Please let me know where you stand on this issue and how you plan to advocate for the long-term sustainability of this essential program.
Thank you for your time and for your commitment to serving our community. I look forward to your response.
