I stand with Senator Cory Booker in strongly condemning the destructive policies of the Trump administration. The president's actions have undermined core American principles and institutions, causing unnecessary hardship for people from all backgrounds. We must resist divisive rhetoric and reckless attacks on our democracy. It is unacceptable for the leader of our nation to promote ideologies of hate, discrimination, and violence against vulnerable groups. We cannot tolerate an agenda rooted in racism, homophobia, transphobia, or subjugation of any community based on ethnicity or creed. Rather than putting profits over people, the priority must be uplifting all citizens through ethical governance that rejects exploitation. Corporate interests cannot be allowed to trample human rights or erode our cherished values of justice and equality. I urge decisive action to rein in these dangerous overreaches and enact comprehensive, ethical reforms that restore integrity to our system of government. We must get back on track toward realizing the ideals of freedom, democracy and human dignity that define the best of America's heritage. The future of our nation depends on it.
