Protect Texas Economy: Reinstate Federal Grant Funding Immediately

I'm writing about the damage that the federal grant funding freeze is having on the Texas economy. In 2024, Texas received $1.9 billion in grants from the National Institutes of Health. Cutting that funding could lead to mass layoffs and a brain drain. Houston’s economy is largely based on its reputation as a research hub in energy, medicine, and natural sciences. I urge you to take a leadership role in Congress and demand that all federal grants be reinstated immediately, before the funding freeze causes permanent damage to the Texas economy.
