I am writing you to oppose the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE Act). The legislation is not sound with too many areas being left up to the states, while also threatening for non-compliance. This Act would significantly hinder rural voters from participating in our democracy and would burden women that changed their last names after getting married. We should be doing everything we can to ensure that all Americans have an easy way to participate in our elections. There is no evidence that immigrants are voting in federal elections. Vote NO on the SAVE Act.
