Jackie Robinson

To: Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Williams, Sen. Cruz

From: A constituent in Stephenville, TX

March 20

Today, the DoD deleted any evidence of Jackie Robinson and his military service from its website. Also deleted were references to the Code-talkers and those who held up our flag at Iwo Jima during WWII. This is an attempt to erase their historic and heroic American achievements. Their achievements made America great. Deleting them does not. Instead, it contributes to the furthering of the USA being an embarrassing laughing stock, both in front of the world and its own citizens at home. Your silence makes you complicit in this detestable event, and therefore, as much to blame as Mr. Hegseth for ordering it. You supported Hegseth's nomination. The explanation given by the DoD spokesman was complete BS, a mockery of their service, and a pathetic attempt at camouflaging the racism behind this unconscionable action. And it was horribly written. It is another sad, tragic day for the USA. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Except that you know exactly what you have done and what you are doing. Shame.
