congress Why is DOGE allowed to cut all these programs that have undeniable benefit to the American economy and to its people ? Why has 1 billion been cut from Local Food for Schools that helps food banks and schools purchase from local farmers? People are going to go hungry and farmers are gonna lose their jobs, why was this deemed “waste and abuse”? Meanwhile, the DOGE website is a mess, contracts are being canceled with zero scrutiny, and programs that make billions in value more than they cost to fund are being undermined. I want DOGE summoned before Congress and the courts and forced to take accountability IMMEDIATELY. Congress should have the power of the purse, not DOGE. Congress needs to vote on every. Single. Program DOGE wants to cut, the same way they AGREED TO FUND those programs. IT IS ONLY FAIR AND PROCEDURAL. Why can’t we afford to have a fully staffed NWS and NOAA, who protect our environment and us from literal calamity? Why can’t we afford to make it easier for schools to purchase from local farmers? Why can’t we afford to replant trees in low income communities affected by natural disasters? Why can’t we afford to have a fully staffed EPA and Fish and Wildlife and Forest service so we can continue to do better for our wildlife and public lands while making a hell of a lot of money for our national and local economies? National Parks alone bring in 55 billion, so what on earth are they being forced to lose workers for? Why can’t we afford cancer research and grants for our schools ? Why has all this been singled out as “waste”? It is insulting to the American people to allow DOGE to do this. It is also damaging our economy, our safety, and our future prosperity. Everything DOGE has done has bordered on illegal, if not crossed the line, so TAKE YOUR POWER BACK AND UNCANCEL ALL THE GRANTS UNTIL THIS PROCESS GETS CONGRESSIONAL OVERSIGHT. If you do not help make this happen, you betray us. There is only detriment in many of these programs being cut, every day I hear of new wonderful things that will never come to fruition because of DOGE’s careless cuts. Please respond in writing. Ideally, with your plan and how soon you plan to get DOGE to reverse the damage to every profitable public service the government provides.
