Why are we debating loosening the labor laws here in Florida? Is it because of the draconian immigration laws you’re pushing??? Maybe you should all use your own kids in this political stunt and not the people of Florida. Making them work over night and then be mandated to go to school won’t help the labor shortage you’ve got going on here in Florida. You guys don’t like outsiders, and they were the ones paying taxes and helping our economy. “Florida has been working for years to crack down on employers who hire undocumented immigrants. But that presented a problem for businesses in the state that are desperate for workers to fill low-wage and often undesirable jobs.” -WFLX FOX 29
Again, not our children’s problem! Let them learn and leave them alone.
“The state's legislature on Tuesday is set to debate a billthat would loosen child labor laws, allowing children as young as 14 years old to work overnight shifts. If the new law is passed, teenagers would be able to work overnight jobs on school days. They are currently prevented from working earlier than 6:30 am or later than 11 pm per state law.
DeSantis is supportive of the law and has been vocal of cracking down on immigration, echoing President Donald Trump's rhetoric. However, economists have warned that it could backfire, sparking further inflation and labor shortages.” WFLX FOX 29
I honestly hope that if this is to go through, that it fails miserably.
And ALL of you will be voted out.
