Do not let the Legislative cripple the Judiciary

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick, Rep. Thompson

From: A verified voter in Lewisburg, PA

March 26

House Speaker Mike Johnson said Tuesday: — “desperate times call for desperate measures” — “We do have authority over the federal courts, as you know,” — “We can eliminate an entire district court. We have power of funding over the courts, and all these other things.” And then hinted at legislation defunding the Judiciary to the point of closing district courts. We are on the brink of establishing an autocratic regime in the U.S. What will you do? Will you support the dismantling of the government system established on our Constitution or will you stand up to defend the foundations of our democracy? I demand you take action against these initiatives to cripple one of our three co-equal branches of government. We must preserve the independence of the Judiciary so they can continue to do what they are supposed to do: to bring checks and balances into our system.
