Donald Trump’s comments deserve investigation. Please do NOT ignore this!

To: Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno, Rep. Sykes

From: A constituent in Akron, OH

March 10

Recently President Trump was seen on television saying “they rigged the election and I became president” (His exact words). This is not the first time that he has made suspicious comments regarding the legitimacy of the 2024 election. From his “little secret” statement on election night to his praise of Elon Musk and his “skill” with computers and Star Link in Pennsylvania, I think there have been far too many concerning admissions on his part to possibly interfering with the 2024 election. I don’t want to jump to conclusions or anything, especially after having to hear him and his supporters shouting lies about 2020 for the last four years, but clearly this is something worth serious investigation, yes? Even if the comments were in jest, if civilians can’t make a “joke”about being a terrorist in an airport without opening themselves up to a cavity search, I don’t think jokes can or should be made about fixing elections without being taken seriously and resulting in investigation. I think that ignoring these comments would be a serious affront to our democracy, and even if they turn out to be the ramblings of a narcissist, it will have been worth it to find the truth beyond a shadow of a doubt. The people will be expecting you to take these comments seriously, and to hold EVERYONE accountable for their actions. No one is immune to the law but kings. And we know that Donald Trump is in fact NOT a king, no matter how much he fancies himself one. We are BEGGING you to do something. ANYTHING. Thank you.
