I'm writing today to demand that Representative Pocan (I know you will), Senator Baldwin (I know you will), and Senator Johnson (this message is for you) strongly oppose H.R. 899 and Trump's executive order to dismantle the Department of Education. It is crucial that Congress stand firm against this blatant executive overreach and protect the Department's vital programs and protections for students. I live in a rural area and we are already struggling to meet the budgetary needs of our schools. Also, it's infuriating that the most vulnerable in this country will bear the brunt of decisions like this. Thank you for your time and consideration.
