Opposition to HR 38

To: Sen. Cassidy, Rep. Fields, Sen. Kennedy

From: A verified voter in Shreveport, LA

March 31

I am writing to express my strong opposition to H.R. 38, the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which recently passed out of committee. This legislation poses a significant threat to public safety and undermines the efforts of local law enforcement agencies to maintain safe communities. Allowing individuals to carry concealed firearms across state lines without proper training or background checks is deeply concerning. This bill not only increases the risk of gun violence but also erodes the authority of states to regulate firearms in a manner that best suits their unique circumstances. The safety of our communities should not be compromised for the sake of a national mandate that prioritizes the interests of the gun lobby over public welfare. I urge you to reject this dangerous bill and stand with your constituents who prioritize safety and responsible gun ownership. Please consider the implications of H.R. 38 on our communities and vote NO on this legislation. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue. I hope to see you uphold the safety of our citizens by opposing the concealed carry mandate.
