I am deeply ashamed to have both of my senators representing the lovely state of Texas show support for Trump’s reckless tariffs targeting Canada, which would not only harm a valued U.S. ally, but also American businesses and consumers. I am, however, very grateful for Senator Paul, Senator Collins, Senator McConnell and Senator Murkowsi, four Republicans who have proven that they value Americans and the U.S. economy above arbitrary partisan lines. I humbly ask that you consider following the example set by these upstanding Senators, and consider following their lead in the future.
