I understand your attempts at bipartisanship and common sense / finding middle ground, but respectfully I think we are past that point. It is continually disappointing, when news breaks of Democrats aiding Trump’s agenda and rhetoric, Rep Suozzi is almost always on the list. I recently called to thank the Congressman for not supporting the disastrous budget bill, and for that I am grateful for his common sense support. However , who benefits from censuring Rep. Al Green? Trump and the GOP do. Democrats do not, your constituents do not. I understand wanting to keep some decorum and rules, however, for decades now the GOP has shown there is no decorum, there are no rules, laws aren’t even real. Trump has further thrown out any hope of bipartisanship, respect, decorum, and the rule of law. Please recognize this reality, it’s time to fight differently. Follow Rep Al Green’s lead, do not censure him. This only helps Trump and further alienates loyal Democrats… and if we are continually sidelined for the Congressman’s fairy tale bipartisanship days of yore, trust we will support a primary challenger. What is there to lose? A Democrat who 9 times out of 10 aligns with Republicans is not serving us.
