Condemn unconstitutional deportations, uphold due process and human rights.

March 28

It is deeply concerning that hundreds of immigrants were deported without due process, violating fundamental principles of justice and human rights. Deporting individuals en masse to another country based solely on their nationality, without evidence of criminal activity or a fair judicial process, is unjust and contrary to the rule of law. Invoking an archaic wartime act to circumvent immigration laws sets a dangerous precedent and undermines the constitutional protections afforded to all people within the United States. This action by the administration demands a strong response from Congress and the judicial system to uphold cherished American values of due process and equal justice under the law. Allowing such unilateral executive overreach without consequence threatens the system of checks and balances so vital to a functioning democracy. We must insist on transparency, evidence-based enforcement of laws, and the right of every person to have their case fully adjudicated before facing such grave consequences as deportation. Upholding human rights and the rule of law is not just a moral imperative, but key to maintaining a free and just society.
