Impeach Trump for Violation of Court Order

To: Rep. Landsman, Sen. Moreno, Sen. Husted

From: A verified voter in Mason, OH

March 16

On Friday March 14 2025, Trump went through with his announced intention to invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 in order to continue his unlawful anti-immigration agenda. This act was meant to be a wartime powers act and has only been invoked a few times in the intervening 227 years. This order from the President was announced and intended as a way to bypass immigration protections. On Saturday March 15 2025, a U.S. District Judge ordered a 14 day injunction against the President's order, halting the mass deportations and requiring planes in the air to return deportees back to the United States. The judge acknowledged that his authority could not extend to planes that had already landed in foreign countries, but otherwise the court order required planes and passengers to return. An Axios report is now revealing that the Trump Administration had internal conversations about the injunction AFTER the court order had been declared, and the administration chose to ignore the court order and not direct flight in transit to return. This is a blatant violation of the law and the courts, and the latest in what is a more-and-more clear pattern of unlawful behavior by this administration. Donald Trump must be impeached. He is defying the courts, usurping Congressional authorities, and violating the rights of citizens and non-citizen residents of our nation. Every day that this is not stated clearly and addressed directly is an assault on our democracy and complicity if not outright collusion with an unlawful administration. Do your duty and remove this threat to our nation.
