I’m reaching out to express my serious concern about the proposed $859 million (57%) cut to the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) in the House’s latest version of the Continuing Resolution (CR). This massive reduction would bring CDMRP funding down to just $650 million for the rest of FY25, which would have a huge impact on life-saving research—especially on projects related to polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and other rare genetic conditions. Frankly, this is bullshit.
