Oppose Administration’s Unconstitutional Actions

To: Rep. Ivey, Sen. Van Hollen, Sen. Alsobrooks

From: A verified voter in Greenbelt, MD

March 17

This administration's attempted use of emergency powers to deport undocumented immigrants is an alarming overstep of executive authority that undermines constitutional checks and balances. I urge you to forcefully oppose these unconstitutional actions and defend American democracy by upholding the rule of law. As an elected leader, you have a duty to speak out against such blatant abuses of power that threaten our nation's founding principles of limited government and separation of powers. This erosion of democratic norms cannot stand unchallenged. Robust congressional oversight and legal challenges are imperative to reign in this disturbing unilateral attempt to circumvent the legislative process. Failure to do so sets a dangerous precedent that will only enable further expansion of unbridled executive overreach. Safeguarding our constitutional republic requires an unwavering commitment to our system of checks and balances that you must uphold.
