This continuing resolution (CR) is not just a budget measure—it is a direct handover of federal spending power to Donald Trump and Elon Musk while gutting the critical programs that working families depend on. Any Democrat who supports this—including Chuck Schumer—deserves to be held accountable. Schumer’s willingness to cave to Republican demands and enable Trump’s unchecked power is disgraceful. If he votes yes, he is actively complicit in creating a slush fund that Trump will use to funnel resources to billionaires, punish his enemies, and dismantle democratic institutions. If Schumer chooses to betray the party and the American people, I urge you to organize opposition against his leadership. There must be consequences for any Democratic leader who enables Trump’s authoritarian ambitions. Your constituents are watching. We expect you to fight—not just with words, but with action. Rally your colleagues. Call out Schumer and any other Democrat who betrays the party and the people they claim to represent. If Democrats fail to stand firm, they will be seen as weak, compromised, and undeserving of leadership. A government shutdown is terrible, but a Trump-controlled government is even worse. Americans need to see the consequences of his corruption firsthand, not be shielded from them by a weak, misguided attempt to preserve the status quo. Now is the time to make it clear exactly who Trump is and what he stands for—so that the American people will rise up and reject him. This is your moment. Vote NO. Demand accountability. And if Schumer votes yes, make it clear that he no longer has the right to lead.
