Social Security benefits must be protected. They are a literal lifeline for millions of Americans, and cutting employees, shutting offices, and making obtaining benefits more difficult is a disservice to those Americans who have worked their whole lives to support themselves to the best of their ability. It is a disgrace and a travesty of justice to deny benefits and make them harder to access.
