The Trump regime is now claiming that it cannot undisappear a legal resident that it kidnapped and transported to an El Salvadoran prison. He is a father and resident of Maryland.
This is unconscionable. How they would claim that they have put someone in a prison but also claim that they have no ability to return them?! Why are they sending people places where they cannot be released? None of these people had due process. Many of these people were not who the regime claims they were. There are so many due process and constitutional and human rights issues with this that I can’t even list them all here.
This regime feels like it can and should disappear anyone it wants to. They need to be told unequivocally by everyone that that is not true. Please make it clear that every person should be receiving due process, that sending them to prisons out of the country is unacceptable, and that legal status is meaningful.
