Mr. Issa, you recently (March 16,2025) published a Facebook poll:
President Trump is going after waste, fraud, and abuse in Washington and focusing on the issues that are important to our communities. How would you rate President Trump’s first two months in office?
Sadly, you seem to be blind to what Mr. Trump is actually doing. He is attacking the very fabric on which every American depends.
Your support of Mr. Trump is not surprising given your record. However, you have an opportunity to protect our Constitution now.
Ask why Congressional approval is being skipped over in this search for "waste and fraud". The fraud being committed is the shutting down of investigative bodies, so that many wealthy criminals get away with whatever they want. You have stood for law and order in the past. What about now?
Ask why a twice impeached felon is pandering to the oil industry to whom he promised whatever laws they wanted, if they paid for his campaign. Who benefits from high tariffs? Why is the GOP abandoning democracy? How can you let our Allies be so disappointed in us?

You, Mr. Issa, are a child of immigrants. How can you, in good conscience, allow mass deportations of people who are here legally, like Venezuelans with green cards, or people who were born here? Where does this stop?
Your name and complexion will include you on the "list", eventually, no matter how you fawn over your leader.
What happens to some Americans, happens to us all. Please do better. Please be courageous and protect us as you swore to when you took office.
Maybe your promise to uphold the Constitution means more than Mr. Trump's lies.
