HB 1489 Oppose Kratom has been helpful in many ways. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, depression, joint and back pain, it has helped me tremendously, since the Spring of 2017. There is no reason to ban the herbal supplement. I urge you to reconsider, and dispose of the proposed bill. It is helping 100’s of thousands of people, if not millions, and taking its legality away, is unethical. CBD, THC, marijuana, edible, smokable.. all available to the public, in Florida, at an easy rate. Just fill out the form, and pay for the license. Bingo. No thank you on that. To each their own. This appears to be nothing, but a pharmaceutical money grab. Considering how many supplements are sold through Amazon and other websites, or store shelves, with no testing, no FDA approval, no trust, but instead, only hope, when purchasing… Is legal and easily accessible, from China and plenty of unregulated places. The public needs to do their own research before taking, and definitely before where they purchase. But that aside, please do not take away what is helping people deal with everyday struggles, both physical and mental. Prozac has been known to cause heart problems, in unborn babies, still in the womb, but it has not been removed, and it has not stopped Dr’s from prescribing, during pregnancy. I took it, not pregnant, several years back, (Prozac) and had a huge amount of negative side effects. The majority of FDA approved products, have all kinds of side effects, and there is no regulation, except counting how much money is acquired. Documentation of the side effects is available to the public, if you’re willing to jump through hoops, to find the CDC‘s statistics, just like vaccines. Please reconsider, and oppose the HR proposal of banning Kratom Bill. You will be harming our Nation, and its citizens, in need of a natural helpful plants, abilities. Ban the Bill, not the Herbal Supplement. Say NO, to HR 1489. Thank you, from a registered voter. Write
