Oppose No IRIS Act, help prevent cancer

To: Rep. Clyde, Sen. Ossoff, Sen. Warnock

From: A verified voter in Lawrenceville, GA

March 6

The IRIS program's independent scientific assessments allow the EPA to calculate how much exposure to toxic chemicals increases cancer risk. IRIS pinpointed evidence showing communities faced elevated cancer rates from air pollutants like ethylene oxide and chloroprene, sparking efforts to remove the deadly chemicals from their environment. Dismantling IRIS would leave the EPA unable to quantify carcinogenic threats posed by toxic exposures, obstructing a core duty to help prevent cancer from hazardous pollutants. Please oppose the No IRIS Act and help prevent cancer from toxic chemicals.
