I am writing to demand that you firmly oppose the No Rogue Rulings Act of 2025 (H.R. 1526) and reject every measure—legislative or executive—that violates the Constitution and the foundational principles of American democracy.
This bill is a blatant assault on the separation of powers. It strips federal courts of the ability to issue nationwide injunctions, even in cases of clear constitutional violations. This is not reform—it’s an authoritarian maneuver to shield the executive branch from legal accountability. It undermines the judiciary’s essential role in checking unlawful actions and silences the courts at the very moment they are most needed.
President Trump’s ongoing attacks on judicial independence and constitutional constraints are increasingly unconscionable and self-serving. The No Rogue Rulings Act is just the latest attempt to dismantle the rule of law and centralize unchecked power in the presidency. The intent is clear: to remove legal barriers that protect the public from executive overreach.
If passed, this bill would have prevented courts from stopping prior abuses like the Muslim ban, family separations, and DACA rollbacks—policies that harmed millions and were only halted because federal courts had the authority to act.
I urge you to speak out and vote against this bill. Do not enable the further erosion of our democracy. The American people need legislators who will defend the Constitution—not accommodate those who seek to dismantle it.
