Senator Cory Booker stood up for democracy this week in an amazing display of physical and mental stamina. I wish you had half the integrity of this remarkable man. I urge you to reflect on this historic feat and what it stands for. I hope that his display of leadership will help you to discover some moral character within yourself to choose the right path. You know that the current administration is destroying our democracy, our economy and our relationship with our longtime allies.This makes all of us less safe, including you and your family. No one will be spared from the humanitarian crisis that is looming. You know that this administration is violating the constitution and committing heinous acts by kidnapping green card holders and permanent residents for simply exercising their First Amendment rights in voicing their disagreement with the injustices they see being committed. You know the constitution says that everyone in this country deserves due process; everyone, regardless of their status.You need to reread the constitution and stand up for what’s right.You need to reread the oath that you took to preserve and defend our constitution. And if you claim to be a Christian, you need to reread the teachings of Jesus and reflect upon how this administration is treating human beings. I urge you to fight for your constituents.
