I’m contacting you today because of the abduction by federal agents of Rumeysa Ozturk, a Turkish PhD student. DHS is saying they picked her up because ”she engaged In activities in support of Hamas.” what activities? As far as I can tell, all she did was coauthor an editorial. Is that no longer permitted under the present dictatorship wannabe regime? Campuses are supposed to be places of free and open exchanges of ideas (even though this administration is currently trying to defund that). The fact that someone could just disappear for voicing an idea that the Trump administration dislikes is terrifying. What can you do to stop these assaults on free speech? These are terrifying horrible times and We the People need desperately help. How can and will you help?
