Support Ohio’s economic growth with passenger rail
To: Gov. DeWine
From: A constituent in Westerville, OH
April 3
I urge your administration to prioritize the development and expansion of passenger rail services in Ohio, including the 3 Ohio routes submitted to the Corridor ID program. Further, there has been a vacancy of the Passenger Rail representative on the ORDC board for a number of years, which I am concerned to see.
With ORDC overseeing the public money going towards the development of the Corridor ID program’s 3C+D and Cleveland Toledo Detroit corridors, it seems irresponsible to keep this seat vacant. The passenger rail representative requirement is required by the Ohio Revised Code.
Investing in rail infrastructure will enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and provide sustainable transportation alternatives for our citizens.
Please consider making passenger rail a focal point in our state's transportation strategy.
