I am writing to express my deep concern over reports that Elon Musk’s PAC, Future of Democracy, is offering $100 to Wisconsin voters in exchange for signatures on a petition to oppose so-called "activist judges." This practice is not only blatantly illegal under Wisconsin election law but also deeply predatory, taking advantage of residents who are struggling financially due to economic conditions that billionaires like Musk have directly contributed to. Wisconsin law explicitly prohibits offering anything of value in exchange for election-related actions. Yet, Musk’s PAC is manipulating the financial hardship of everyday Wisconsinites to push a political agenda. This is an affront to the integrity of our elections and a clear attempt to buy political influence. It is unacceptable that a billionaire from out of state is using his wealth to undermine our democratic processes while many Wisconsinites are struggling to make ends meet. I urge you to take immediate action to: Investigate and, if necessary, prosecute any violations of Wisconsin’s election laws. Publicly denounce this predatory tactic and advocate for stronger protections against this type of election interference. Ensure election integrity by supporting policies that prevent billionaires and outside groups from exploiting financial desperation for political gain. Wisconsin voters deserve fair and honest elections, free from coercion and financial exploitation. I hope you will stand up for our democracy and take swift action to address this issue.
