Ban harmful conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ youth
To: Sen. Berg, Rep. Lewis

Banning the harmful and discredited practice of conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ youth should be a priority. The overwhelming scientific consensus is that conversion therapy significantly increases the risk of depression, anxiety, and suicide among young people subjected to it. As medical experts agree it is unethical and unsafe, I urge you not to override the governor's veto and instead protect vulnerable LGBTQ+ minors from this damaging pseudoscientific practice. All children deserve to feel accepted for who they are. Prohibiting conversion therapy is vital for safeguarding their mental health and wellbeing.
