Thank you for voting against the initial continuing resolution that lacked proper guardrails against Elon Musk and DOGE's unconstitutional overreach. Congress must seize this opportunity to restore constitutional checks on their unelected power grab over federal agencies and personnel. Passing a continuing resolution without enforceable guardrails against DOGE's abuses would be an abdication of Congress' power of the purse. Reasonable bipartisan compromises can fund critical government operations while preventing this billionaire from commandeering control of the federal government. Protecting core democratic principles should transcend partisan politics. I urge you to oppose any CR that fails to rein in DOGE's abuses and return governing authority to its proper constitutional authorities. This defining issue demands Congress' principled leadership.
