I am concerned about the attacks on the judiciary by former President Donald Trump. Recent reporting highlights how federal judges have upheld the rule of law by ruling against Trump's unfounded claims of election fraud and other legally dubious positions. An independent judicial branch is a cornerstone of our democracy. Attempting to bully or discredit judges who issue rulings one disagrees with is a dangerous path that undermines faith in our institutions. I urge you to speak out forcefully in defense of the federal judiciary and its vital role in maintaining checks and balances on political power. We must ensure judges can do their jobs free from intimidation or threats of retaliation.
