I am writing to urge you to take immediate action to support Ukraine and hold the Trump administration accountable for its dangerous policy reversals. The current suspension of military aid and intelligence sharing not only undermines our longstanding alliance with Ukraine but also jeopardizes the security of the region and American values. Recent actions by the administration are deeply concerning. As of March 6, 2025, intelligence sharing has been halted, putting Ukrainian lives at risk. Earlier, on March 3, 2025, all military aid was suspended in retaliation against President Zelenskyy, with the absurd condition that aid might be resumed only if Ukraine “demonstrates a good-faith commitment to peace.” This stance is unacceptable and stands in stark contrast to our nation’s commitment to security guarantees for our allies. Furthermore, during an Oval Office meeting on February 28, 2025, President Trump and his officials not only threatened to abandon Ukraine but also insulted President Zelenskyy. They ended the meeting abruptly and canceled critical diplomatic initiatives. On February 20, 2025, the administration escalated its rhetoric by falsely labeling President Zelenskyy a “dictator” and accusing Ukraine of initiating aggression against Russia. Such remarks and policies endanger not only Ukraine but also the stability of Europe and the credibility of American leadership. The United States has long stood for the defense of sovereign nations and the promotion of democratic values. Suspending military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, while engaging in secret discussions with Russia without including Ukraine or our European allies, is a radical reversal of our policy and a betrayal of our commitment to freedom and security. I respectfully request that you demand an immediate end to this pause on support for Ukraine. Please hold the administration accountable and ensure that U.S. policy reaffirms our alliance with Ukraine by restoring military aid and intelligence sharing. Our national security, as well as the safety of our Ukrainian friends, depends on swift and decisive congressional action. Thank you for your service and for standing up for the principles that make our country a beacon of hope and freedom.
