I am writing to voice my adamant opposition to HB3. Do not vote to support the dismantling of the Texas public school system. This is de facto segregation and corporate appeasement dressed up as a positive for parents and children. As a public school teacher in Texas for 38 years, I understand the issues with the public school system in Texas. All of it can be solved by adequately funding ALL schools and giving majority of the power to manage to teachers to the teachers themselves. Teachers know how to train and manage teachers better than personnel that are NOT teachers.
