PLEASE Don’t Defund Ohio Public Libraries
To: Sen. Craig, Rep. Jarrells
From: A verified voter in Columbus, OH
April 4
Why are libraries important? They’re safe spaces for families, they increase community literacy, they help build businesses, preserve history, foster civic engagement, foster lifelong learning opportunities, foster a love of reading, and are critical to the fight against misinformation. Don’t defund Ohio public libraries!
They’re critical to everyone, even you! People that voted for you have learned about you and what you stand for in their public library. Why should we let that end? When did a library ever hurt you or your causes? Don’t vote to end the Public Library Fund! Restore funding to 1.7% of Ohio’s General Revenue Fund.
Remember, Ohio and most importantly, the people you represent are watching. We know how you vote. Don’t let us down.
