The detention of Mahmoud Khalil is illegal and he should be released immediately. As a legal resident of the United States, the Constitution affords him all of the legal protections similar to a US citizen and the government has shared ZERO evidence that supports his arrest. I don’t agree with his pro-Hamas stance but he has the right to free speech just as I do. There is nothing different in what Khalil has done as compared to President Trump’s actions on January 6th. Mahmoud Khalil deserves equal protection under the law and should be released immediately.
