An Open Letter

To: Rep. Franklin, Sen. Simon

From: A constituent in Tallahassee, FL

March 26

I don’t understand the sudden push for lower sales tax as our state relies on that revenue. We are very likely to have a decrease in tourism coming up soon and the resulting decrease in the revenue they bring, so it would be really unwise to starve the state in this way as well. Additionally, with DOGE making random cuts and Congress likely to further cut spending necessary to send our kids to school and feed people and take care of our veterans, we’re going to need revenue. This should not be hastily added to the agenda.
