Prohibit military invasion of allied nations and territories

To: Sen. Tillis, Rep. Ross, Sen. Budd

From: A verified voter in Cary, NC

March 19

This bill aims to prohibit the use of funds for the U.S. Armed Forces to engage in operations to invade or seize territory from Canada, the Republic of Panama, or the self-governing territory of Greenland. While maintaining strong national defense capabilities is crucial, initiating unprovoked military aggression against sovereign nations or territories would undermine international law, damage diplomatic relations, and needlessly escalate geopolitical tensions. As a matter of principle and pragmatism, I urge responsible oversight to ensure military operations align with defensive priorities and respect the territorial integrity of allied nations. Proactive diplomacy and adherence to international norms should take precedence over reckless expansionism that could destabilize regions and erode America's global standing.
