I write today to insist that the White House must respect the judge's order and those deported to El Salvador must be returned for proper vetting. We have evidence that not every man deported to El Salvador is a gang member. It's not okay to let innocent people get caught up in deportation under circumstances appropriate only to hardened criminals. Even legal American citizens are feeling the fear of what could happen to anyone who looks a certain way or neglects to cross all the 't's and dot all the 'i's. And it's not okay to say, "Oops, too late!" and not attempt to right the wrong.
