I want to thank you for advocating for VA research on burn pits. A friend of mine is a participant in that research and is finally getting the help he needs for his lung issues. Your work on this issue is making a real difference in people’s lives.
I also appreciate your votes against harmful Republican actions that hurt everyday Americans. However, I urge Democrats to improve how they communicate the real-world impact of government agencies. For example, NOAA isn’t just about climate change. It provides essential weather data that helps farmers protect crops, which directly affects our food system and grocery prices. These connections need to be made clearer to the public.
While Republican-backed policies may dominate the headlines, we need to see strong counter-legislation from Democrats. Even if it doesn’t pass, introducing opposing bills signals to the public that Democrats are fighting back with concrete policies. People need to see that legislative resistance is an active push for a better alternative.
Thank you for your continued advocacy, and I look forward to seeing bold action and stronger messaging from Democratic leadership.
