NASA's scientific integrity and independence are crucial for advancing space exploration for the benefit of all humanity. Allowing a private company with vested interests to take control of NASA would undermine its mission and compromise its objectivity. SpaceX's rockets have had high-profile failures, demonstrating the company does not yet possess the level of expertise and experience NASA has painstakingly developed over decades. NASA's research serves as a foundation for the entire aerospace industry, fueling innovation not just for SpaceX but countless other companies. Preserving NASA as an independent and objectively-driven scientific agency is paramount to ensuring continued progress in space technology and exploration proceeds ethically and transparently, without being beholden to a single corporation's profit motives. The nation's space program must remain a public endeavor, accountable to the people.
