Oppose HR 1295 Reorganizing Government Act of 2025

To: Rep. Mann, Sen. Marshall, Sen. Moran

From: A constituent in Lawrence, KS

March 31

I understand the concerns about the potential for abuse of power and conflicts of interest with the Reorganizing Government Act of 2025. However, the legislation aims to improve government efficiency by reorganizing executive departments, eliminating unnecessary operations, reducing regulations, and decreasing the federal workforce. While some degree of executive authority is necessary for reorganization, proper oversight and transparency measures should be in place to prevent overreach. I urge you to carefully weigh the need for government reform against the risks, and work to ensure robust accountability if this bill moves forward. Reasonable minds can disagree on the appropriate scope and mechanisms, but improving government effectiveness while upholding democratic principles should be the shared goal.
