The Washington Post reports: “Elon Musk is scheduled to receive a briefing by Defense Department leaders focused on the threat posed by China and the billionaire’s work to slash the U.S. government bureaucracy, according to people familiar with the matter.” The big question the country is asking is: why wasn’t Elon Musk ever subjected to the traditional U.S. government security clearance process? Musk was born in South Africa and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2002. This makes him eligible to obtain a clearance. Any U.S. citizen who works in positions that give access to sensitive information undergoes this thorough process, but Musk has been spared. WHY? He has contracts with foreign nations and his companies carry significant debt. He could easily be manipulated by foreign entities to divulge the national secrets to which he has been privy. I urge you to take action to question why this administration is incurring in this danger.
