Our president said there are methods that would allow him to run for a third term. There are not. The Constitution prohibits it in no uncertain terms.
His statements are shocking but would only be surprising if he had any respect for the law whatsoever. We should expect such criminally minded statements from convicted felons.
You, however, are not a convicted felon. You know better, but your past loyalty to Trump above all else makes me think you'll follow along unquestioningly.
Prove me wrong. Release a statement — loud and clear so even the president can hear it — that you stand with the Constitution. Show Tennessee that you weren't lying when you put your hand over your heart and pledged allegiance to the flag and the republic for which it stands. Back the Constitution or resign so we can elect someone who does.
