It’s time to build an economy that serves the public, not just corporations and the wealthy. We need decisive action to raise revenue fairly, strengthen public goods, and prioritize worker ownership over corporate greed.
Start taxing excess, stop protecting private wealth. Tax ultra-luxury goods, high-end real estate, stock buybacks, and speculative wealth. Make short-term rentals and financial speculation pay their fair share. Stop giving corporations loopholes to shift profits out of our state.
Start investing in public wealth, stop relying on private monopolies. Fund universal pre-K, public broadband, and green infrastructure. Expand state-owned services where private businesses fail to provide affordable options. Stop treating essential services as profit centers for the few.
Start building worker-owned businesses, stop prioritizing Wall Street. Offer tax breaks, loans, and training for co-ops. Give workers the right to buy businesses before they’re sold to outside investors. Stop subsidizing corporations that extract wealth from our communities without giving back.
Start funding real public infrastructure, stop corporate handouts. Redirect transit funding from endless highway expansion to public transportation. Prioritize worker-owned businesses and small enterprises in state contracts. Stop wasting money on tax breaks for companies that don’t create real jobs.
We don’t need tweaks. We need transformation. Tax private wealth and invest in public wealth. I expect to see action.
